Gambling & Casino Talk from Las Vegas to Atlantic City

Las Vegas To Have Their Own ACE To Travel

Posted on March 27, 2009 by Marc

New York City just got it’s own ACES train service to Atlantic City to help usher gamblers into town easily and in comfort. It looks as if Las Vegas is getting their own ACE service – this will be a combination bus and light rail service.

As legislators revive discussions of a light-rail line stretching across the Las Vegas Valley, the first phase of a transit system intended as a more affordable substitute is months from operation. The ACE Downtown Connector bus line is expected to start this winter.

The first line of ACE will link the county government buildings in downtown Las Vegas to resorts on the Strip, Town Square, the Las Vegas Outlet Center and finally to the South Strip Transfer Terminal at Sunset Road and Gilespie Street.

Being a, born and raised, New Yorker I would likely use a cab between properties for a few reasons.  First of all, I’m always in a rush.  Being in Las Vegas doesn’t help relax me.  I’m always looking forward to my next destination.  Second, I’m used to taking cabs more than a bus/train to get around.  This is probably more suited for both the local and leisure tourist.  In any event the bus looks cool!
